Hosea 13:5-7

⁵ I knew^[a] you in the wilderness,^(A)
in the land of drought.
⁶ When they had pasture,
they became satisfied;^(B)
they were satisfied,
and their hearts became proud.^(C)
Therefore they forgot me.^(D)
7 So I will be like a lion^(E) to them;
I will lurk like a leopard^(F) on the path.
